Antonio Wertz averaged 14.5 points and 8.5 rebounds while shooting 60.9 percent (14 of 23) from the field this week as UNO picked up two wins to even out their record at 2-2 on the season.

Entering the week, Wertz was averaging five points and five rebounds while shooting 2 of 15 from the field (13.3 percent).

The native of Alma, Ga.picked up his game in a home victory against Selma University. Wertz scored 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds, shooting 7 of 12 from the field in just 22 minutes of work.

The next game against SEU, Wertz was active once more. He shot 7 of 11 from the field, scored 14 points and narrowly missed a double-double for the second straight game, getting eight rebounds.
