Cory Dixon is the UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Playing off the bench, Dixon has thrived for the Privateers and head coach Mark Slessinger. Dixon netted 12 points and six rebounds to go along with a steal and two assists in UNO's win over Nicholls State.

In the victory, Dixon shot 5 of 6 from the field - his fourth straight game shooting 40 percent or better. During the stretch, Dixon is 16 of 30 from the field for a 53.3 percent shooting mark. Dixon's six rebounds and two assists both equaled his second-best effort of the slate in each category.

For the season, Dixon is averaging 9.1 points and 4.3 rebounds per game to go along with a 50 percent shooting clip from the field. Dixon adds seven blocks, six steals and nine assists to his tally.
