NEW ORLEANS
- The University of New Orleans finished their four-match homestand
with a 2-2 mark following a 3-0 (31-29,30-15,30-22) loss to Middle Tennessee
on Monday night.
The
Privateers (12-12, SBC 6-5) were led by Lindsey Boler who had a
match-high 12 kills. Jaci Bayley had 25 assists to lead the Privateers while Nicky Valenti had
18 digs on the defensive end for UNO.
MT (24-2,
11-1 SBC) received 10 kills from Ashley Asberry while Leslie Clark had
38 assists to pace the Blue Raiders attack. Ashley Waugh led three Blue
Raiders in double-digit digs with 19 while Izabela Kozon and Alici
Lemau'u had 11 apiece.
UNO opened
up the third game with a 10-3 lead before the Blue Raiders stormed back
with a 14-6 lead to take their first lead of the game at 17-16. MT
would close out the match scoring 27 of the game's final 40 points to close out the match 3-0.
The second game saw UNO get outhit .267 to .000 as MT attack helped the Blue Raiders take the second game 30-15 over the Privateers.
In the opening frame, UNO had game point at 29-28 before MT scored the final three points to take the game.
The
Privateers will be back in action on Friday night at 7 p.m on the road at Louisiana-Lafayette before coming back home to face
Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday night at 5 p.m.
