ATLANTA - The University of New Orleans won its third straight game, picking up an 88-74 victory over Carver College at Martin Carter Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Four players scored in double figures for UNO (8-4) as the team
nearly topped 90 points for the first time since a 92-47 victory over Champion
Baptist in the season opener on Nov. 13.
The Privateers were led
by Ryan Kinsley, who came off the bench to lead the Privateers with 20
points. Jaroslav Tyrna added 14 points and eight rebounds while the pair of Antonio Wertz and Brandon Knight contributed 10 points apiece.
UNO trailed 39-38 at the half after Carver (0-16) scored the final five points prior to the break.
The
Privateers will look to continue their good fortunes as of late when
they return home for the first of a season-long three-game homestand on
Tuesday night against Birmingham Southern at 7 p.m. UNO will continue
its homestand on against Victory (Jan. 15) and Dillard (Jan. 20).
