HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The New Orleans Privateers volleyball team took a 3-0 loss to the Sam Houston State Bearkats on Thursday night.
The Privateers (3-20, 0-10) lost in straight sets, 25-11, 25-10, 25-15. New Orleans was led by senior
Marti Richmiller in the defeat with seven kills and a team-high tie 12 digs with sophomore
Lauren Levy. Sophomore
Celeste Ramirez led the Privateers in assists with 13.
The Bearkats (11-7, 8-1) were led by Devene Wells-Gibson with 13 kills, while Tayler Gray had a total of 37 assists. Breanna Homer also boasted the effort with 17 digs.
New Orleans continues its Texas road swing on Saturday with a tilt at Lamar. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
