THE GAME:The New Orleans men's basketball team remains on the road this week, heading to Nicholls for a Monday, Feb. 2, showdown at 6:30 p.m. CT in Southland Conference action.
Both teams are coming off of a conference loss with New Orleans holding a 6-11 overall record and 2-6 league standing while Nicholls remains at home with a 5-13 mark and a 2-6 conference record.

The Colonels remain home for three straight at Stopher Gym, looking to snap a losing skid that has put Nicholls down in four out of its last five games including its latest, a 69-58 loss to Incarnate Word on Saturday afternoon.

LAST TIME OUT:The New Orleans Privateers men's basketball team (6-11, 2-6) hit a furious rally in the second half of the ballgame, but fell short in a 68-61 loss to the McNeese State Cowboys (8-11, 2-6) on Saturday evening at Burton Coliseum.
NEXT UP:New Orleans remains on the road in conference action following the meeting with Nicholls, heading to Central Arkansas this Saturday, Feb. 7, for a 4 p.m. CT outing.

Vs. NichollsThe Privateers lead in the all-time series over in-state rival Nicholls, 14-7, including taking the last meeting between the two teams at the Lakefront Arena in the 2013-14 season.
50 in a HalfDuring the 87-67 win over Central Arkansas in the team's last outing, New Orleans put in 50 first-half points, the second time this season the Privateers have done that.
Scoring LeaderWith nine straight double-figure scoring games, sophomore
Christavious Gill has remained the team's leading scorer, averaging 11.9 points per outing, giving Gill one point for nearly every two minutes of time on the court. Gill has put together an impressive offensive run of New Orleans, scoring in double-figures in 17 out of the last 19 games for the Privateers dating back to last season.

Nate Frye ranks No. 3 in the Southland Conference and No. 64 in the nation in free-throw percentage with an .845 mark.
Field Goal PercentagesThe Privateers now have two players in the top 10 in the conference in field goal percentage,
Terrance Syon at No. 7 with a .563 mark and freshman
Colton Weisbrod at No. 9, shooting at a .548 success rate.
StealsThe Privateers have been creating their own luck lately, coming up with 130 total steals on the year. The 7.9 takeaways per game puts New Orleans at No. 41 nationally.
Getting to the StripeWith 28 free-throw attempts per game on average, New Orleans is currently the most proficient team in terms of getting to the line in the nation.
Bench PlayNew Orleans has picked up solid play from the bench this season as well, earning 24.8 points per game compared to just 20.7 from its opponents.
