NEW ORLEANS – A jam packed Saturday afternoon awaits Privateer faithful at Lakefront Arena as the University of New Orleans (1-5) will host Williams Baptist College (5-2) at 2 p.m. It is ugly Christmas sweater day and fans are encouraged to come out in full force in their ugliest Christmas sweater. The first 100 paid fans will receive a free ugly Christmas t-shirt.
Travin Thibodeaux has led the team in scoring in five of its first six games. The senior is fifth in the conference at 57.1 percent and is averaging 15.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists.
Troy Green is coming off a career night which saw the freshman set season-highs in points (16), field goals (eight), rebounds (eight) and assists (six). The St. Rose native is averaging 8.8 points, 4.0 rebounds and a team-high 2.8 assists.
Michael Zeno has been a distributor for UNO in the last few weeks, surpassing his career-highs in assists in back-to-back games. The senior tallied a career best five dimes at South Alabama and Houston and added four thefts – also a career-high – at UH. Zeno is posting averages of 8.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals.
Makur Puou is tops on the club with 5.7 rebounds to go with his 8.7 points on 51.3 percent shooting.
Bryson Robinson adds 6.7 points and is connecting on 38.1 percent of his shots from three-point range.
ABOUT WILLIAMS BAPTIST
The Eagles are led by big Shackeel Butters, who is averaging 12.9 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. The 6-6 sophomore is shooting 70.2 percent from the floor.
After beginning the season 5-0, Williams Baptist has dropped its last two contests - 105-71 at Bethel and 78-60 at Hannibal-LaGrange, bringing its overall record to 5-2 and 2-1 in American Midwest Conference play.

New Orleans leads the series 2-0 after taking the inaugural meeting in 2015 and last season's contest after dominating the second half.
