NEW ORLEANS –Former University of New Orleans men's basketball alum
Travin Thibodeaux will play with the Indiana Pacers in the 2019 NBA Summer League.

Mark Slessinger. "He is one of the hardest working student-athletes I've had the pleasure of coaching. He has worked tirelessly to improve his skill set and give himself a chance to fulfill his dreams of playing in the NBA."
Thibodeaux signed with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants last season. He averaged 6.1 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 33 games for the G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers.
"I know the Pacers organization has been very pleased with his development throughout last season in the NBA G League with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants," said Slessinger. "Our staff, current, and former Privateer student-athletes are excited for Travin."
A 6-8 Plaquemine native, Thibodeaux averaged a career-high 16.3 points on 54.2 percent shooting and added 5.8 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks in 2017-18. For his career,
Thibs scored 984 points in 117 games, starting 83. He pulled down 5.8 rebounds and shot 52.5 percent. In 2017, Thibodeaux was named to the Southland Conference All-Academic Team and All-Defensive Team.
