HAMMOND, La. - The New Orleans women's basketball program's latest winning streak came to an end with a slight setback on the road against Southeastern as the Privateers dropped a 73-57 Southland Conference decision at the hands of the Lady Lions in the University Center on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Asia Woods recorded her fourth double-double of the season as she posted totals of 13 points (on 5-of-8 shooting) to go with ten rebounds.
- Dionjhae Thomas missed out on tying her season-high by just a single point as she recorded 12 points, four rebounds and an assist.
- Five Privateers scored at least five points in the contest in what was a balanced offensive attack.
- Rehema Franklin led the team with two steals and totaled seven points and one assist.
- Whitley Larry posted one block to go with six points and five rebounds.
- Southeastern got out to a fast start and took a 22-18 lead after the first quarter.
- The trend continued into the second as the Lady Lions were ahead 42-34 at the half.
- The Privateers won the third quarter and trailed 56-48 as the game moved into the fourth.
- It was all Lady Lions in the fourth as their 17-8 advantage in the final quarter closed out the 73-57 victory.
FOR THE FOES
- Morgan Carrier and Jyar Francis finished with a game-high 19 points. Carrier did her damage from beyond the arc on 4-of-6 shooting from three to go with six rebounds and four assists. Francis also chipped in three made three's and added a team-high seven rebounds.
- Caitlyn Willaims was the only other Lady Lion in double figures as she recorded 13 points.
- Southeastern held a 36-24 advantage in points in the paint and also got 10 more points off their bench than that of the Privateers.

The Privateers return home to the Lakefront Arena for a Southland Conference contest against Houston Baptist on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 7 PM CT. The game will be part of New Orleans Athletics celebration of National Girls & Women in Sports Day as the department celebrates local women sports leaders.
