NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans men's basketball freshman forward
D'Ante Bell threw down a vicious slam against SEC power Texas A&M that was featured on SportsCenter's Top-10 plays. The poster dunk came in at No. 8 on the ESPN nightly highlight show as the Privateers battled the Aggies on Tuesday.
Bell, a Shreveport, La. native, has started to work his way into one of the key rotation student-athletes for UNO. He set and then tied his career-high with 17 minutes played in two of the last four games. On the season, Bell has recorded 16 points, 10 boards, three assists and two steals.
New Orleans will take a short break for final exams before the Privateers head west for a non-conference clash with Utah State on Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan, Utah. Tipoff is set for 8 PM CT and the game will be streamed nationally on the Mountain West Network.
