Fifth Annual Privateer Golf Classic Rescheduled for October 11

PRIVATEER GOLF CLASSIC REGISTRATION

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Athletic department has rescheduled its Fifth Annual Privateer Golf Classic presented by PayrollRX to Monday, October 11 at Bayou Oaks on the South Course in City Park.

The Privateer Golf Classic is one of the primary fundraising events for the department and will directly benefit the student-athlete experience at the University of New Orleans.

After back-to-back years of selling out and even more anticipated interest this year, the 2021 Privateer Golf Classic will feature two 18-hole flights for the first time. The morning flight will begin at 8:00 a.m. (registration at 7:00 a.m.), with the afternoon flight set to start at 1:00 p.m. (registration at 11:30 a.m.). Breakfast will be provided by the Ruby Slipper Cafe, while lunch between flights will be provided by UNO alumni Chef Scot Craig and Katie's Restaurant.

New to this year's event will be a "19th Hole Jamboree" featuring a post Classic concert by the Peyton Falgoust Band. Barbecue will be served at the conclusion of the day, and the winner of our $10,000 raffle will also be drawn and announced. The Jamboree will start at 5:00 p.m. and is open to all classic participants at no cost.  We encourage non-participants to join the fun for just a $25 entry fee which can be purchased on the main registration page: UNOAlumni.com/golf.

Sponsorship and foursomes are still available for the Classic and all information and registration can be found at UNOAlumni.com/golf. All participation levels (ranging from $200 to $5,000) includes: green fee, cart rental, and a special gift from the UNO athletic department as well as food and beverages throughout the day. Entry into the $10,000 raffle is $100 per chance which can also be purchased on the registration page. Beverage Cart, hole sponsorship, and other sponsorship opportunities are also available – contact psf@uno.edu for more information.

With the recent spike in COVID-19 cases locally, masks and social distancing will not be required but are strongly recommended.

We would like to thank our sponsors Bloody BuddyHendrick's GinKatie's RestaurantSchwander-Hutchinson Roofing, and the Ruby Slipper Cafe for helping make this event possible.
