Forty-Five Privateers Take Part in Spring Commencement Ceremonies

NEW ORLEANS — The University of New Orleans athletic department is proud to announce that 45 former and current student-athletes and staff members were conferred degrees by University President Dr. Kathy Johnson on Friday morning at Lakefront Arena.

Baseball led the way with 11 graduates. Brice Deaton, Adrian Dominguez, Karson Evans, Myles Green, Collin Husser and Trey Usey all earned degrees in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in business in urban society. Collin Loupe earned his degree in urban construction management with a minor in business administration. Evan Rogers earned his degree in mathematics. Cole Syversen earned his degree in business administration. Skylar Jones earned his degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in public health studies, and Kareh Valentin also earned a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

Beach volleyball was represented by Brooke Dow, Renata Dykstra, Lindsey Neal and Ashley Salazar. Dow earned her degree in marketing. Dykstra earned her degree in biological sciences with a minor in earth and environmental sciences. Neal earned her degree in political science, and Salazar earned her degree in finance.

Women's basketball was represented by Shaniyha Brown, Aaliyah Ellis, Mackenzie Joseph, Chenai Mushore, Jayla Owen and Brialle Washington. Brown earned her degree in interdisciplinary studies. Joseph earned her degree in human performance and health promotion. Mushore earned her degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in behavioral studies. Owen and Washington both earned degrees in psychology, while Ellis earned her master's degree in the field. Former women's basketball student-athlete and current athletic department graduate assistant Gabbi Cartagena received her M.B.A. on Friday.

Golf was represented by Taylor Boasberg, Gabriel Gallego, Max Feistmantl and Tom Watson. Both Boasberg and Gallego earned degrees in finance. Feistmantl double majored in business administration and finance, and Watson also earned a degree in business administration.

Volleyball was represented by Lani Alleman, Alessandra Meoni, Akeir Scales and Courtney Roundtree. Alleman earned her degree in psychology. Meoni earned her master's degree in mathematics, with a graduate certificate in data analytics. Scales earned her degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in behavior studies, and Roundtree earned her degree in sociology with a minor in psychology.

Men's basketball was represented by Coleton Benson and Grant Kemp. Benson earned his degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in cultural and environmental studies. Kemp earned his degree in management.

Track and field/cross country was represented by Mason Appleton and Antonio Delgado. Appleton earned his degree in business administration. Delgado earned his degree in biological sciences. Assistant coach Jack Battaglia received his M.B.A. on Friday.

Women's tennis was represented by Kateryna Kalistratova, who earned her degree in business administration.

Seven members of the New Orleans POM squad also earned degrees. Aubrey Berthelot earned her degree in business administration with a minor in marketing. Alexis Duvio earned her degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in public health studies. Charisma Faulk earned her degree in biological sciences. Keerah Morrissett earned her degree in studio art with a minor in marketing. Jasmine Jackson earned her degree in biological sciences. Maysie Lemoine earned her degree in interdisciplinary studies with a concentration in business in urban society, and Caylum Lewis earned her degree in sociology.

Former student-athlete Jace Phelan, who competed in baseball and track and field, also earned his degree in naval architecture and marine engineering on Friday.
