NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Athletic Department invites its fans on a road trip to Lake Charles this Sunday for a crucial early Southland men's basketball matchup between the Privateers (10-8, 3-0 Southland) and the McNeese Cowboys (8-12, 2-1 Southland).
For $50 fans will receive one ticket to Sunday's contest, complimentary lunch and one bus seat to and from the HP&E Complex in Lake Charles, La. The bus is scheduled to depart from the Human Performance Center parking lot at 12:30 p.m. and return shortly after the conclusion of the game.
Mark Slessinger's Privateers are looking to start 4-0 in Southland Conference play for the first time since they opened the 2017-18 season with victories over Abilene Christian, Houston Baptist, Lamar and McNeese. Victory at HBU on Thursday night would give them the chance for the first 5-0 start in conference play since 1992-1993 when Tim Floyd's squad finished 18-0 in Sun Belt Conference play.
