FORT WORTH, Texas –
Jasmine Jones and
Brialle Washington each notched double figures, but the TCU Horned Frogs connected on 16 three-pointers as they defeated the New Orleans Privateers 107-52 on Sunday afternoon at Schollmaier Arena.
The Horned Frogs got out to a quick start in the opening stanza. Madison Conner broke the ice with a three-pointer, one of three that she hit within the first six minutes. At the media timeout, TCU built a 21-4 lead.
The Horned Frogs led by as many as 20 points in the first quarter, but
Mackenzie Joseph helped the Privateers cut a few points off the lead by the end of the quarter. Joseph hit a pair of three-pointers in the final three minutes. TCU led 29-14 after the opening 10 minutes.
Though the turnovers were nearly even through the first half, TCU had the advantage in points off turnovers. The Horned Frogs turned 14 Privateer miscues into 28 points. New Orleans forced 13 turnovers, but only had three points off TCU mistakes. The home team led 56-25 into the halftime locker room.
The Privateers finished the day with 21 turnovers forced and now have caused 40 turnovers in the first two games versus Alabama and TCU.
The win was a milestone for the Horned Frogs program as it was their 600
th victory in program history.
Conner finished with 30 points and made nine TCU's three-pointers on the day. Hailey Van Lith finished with 13 points, 12 rebounds and six assists. Sedona Prince also had a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds. She also added five blocks.
INSIDE THE BOX
Jones made three triples to account for most of her 13 points. She has 23 points through the first two games. Washington made her season debut and scored 11 points and had three rebounds in 22 minutes.
Alexis Calderon had nine assists, six rebounds and two steals.
Jayla Kimbrough added eight points.

The Privateers will travel to Tarleton State on Tuesday with tipoff scheduled for 11 a.m.
