NATCHITOCHES, La. –
Grant Edwards went eight solid innings and the New Orleans Privateers offense busted out again as they scored a 14-6 win over the Northwestern State Demons on Saturday at Brown-Stroud Field.

The offense went to work behind him early. In the second inning, New Orleans pounced for six runs, all with two outs.

Diego Villescas followed with a two-run single and
Mitchell Sanford added a two-run double.
Northwestern State got on the scoreboard on an RBI double in the bottom of the second from Rocco Gump but Edwards quickly bounced back to get the next two men out on strikeouts to get out of the inning.
New Orleans went on to score in each of the next three innings.
Dalton Hurst had an RBI double as part of a four-hit day.
Miguel Useche blasted a two-run homer, his second long ball of the weekend.

And much like a Mardi Gras parade krewe, we are tethered to our community through pride, tradition, a culture of acceptance, and finally our commitment to show that New Orleans is a world-class city to live, learn, play and work. We invite you to become more involved with the only University that truly represents New Orleans all day, every day. Join #NOLAsTeam, We Are Your Krewe!
