The Privateers were playing short-handed with only two available post players, but

Alexis Calderon three-pointer out the gate as the Privateers kept early tabs on the Lady Lions, trailing only 10-8 midway through the first quarter.
Southeastern hit their first spurt of the game to wrap up the opening stanza though as they scored the first nine points to extend their lead to double figures. Southeastern wound up 17-of-32 from the field in the first half.
