NEW ORLEANS – After suffering an 11-3 loss in the front end of a Saturday doubleheader, the New Orleans Privateers bounced back with a 7-6 walk-off win in 11 innings in the nightcap to take the series over the Boston College Eagles at Maestri Field.

The Privateers earned their first series win over a power four conference school since 2022 when they took series against Kansas (home) and Oklahoma (road).

GAME TWO
NEW ORLEANS-7 BOSTON COLLEGE-6 (11 INNINGS)
The Privateers were able to wait out Bobby Chicoine in the deciding frame. Two walks (one intentional) and a hit batter loaded the bases for
Jahlani Rogers with two outs. Rogers was hit by the first pitch in the count and after a long review upheld the call, the Privateers celebrated a win on a game that they had to wrestle back momentum in during the ninth inning.

Patrick Roche homered for the Eagles in the top of the ninth to give the visitors a 6-5 lead.
Collin Husser singled and got to third with two outs. After
Dalton Hurst drew a walk to extend the game,
Collin Loupe came up and dropped a single into shallow right that tied the game at 6-6.

Cole Syversen took over down the stretch on the mound as he earned his first win in his second appearance as a Privateer. Syversen went the final 2.2 innings and struck out three batters. He allowed just one walk.

Matthew Bienvenu had a solid start as he went 5.0 innings and limited the Eagles to one run. The Privateers put up a five-run fourth inning to start the scoring.
Bryan Loriga had a two-run single and Husser had an RBI single that started the barrage.

The Eagles rallied to tie it in the seventh when an infield single by Nick Wang scored Kyle Wolff.

Loriga had a three-hit game while Loupe and Husser had two hits apiece for the Privateers.
