2008: Developed into team’s regular setup man and shined towards end of the season...Tied for second on team with 27 appearances, which tied him for seventh on school’s single season list...Appearances tally also tied for the most in school history for a freshman (tied with Justin Garcia)...Had 45 strikeouts in 50 2/3 innings and was second on team with seven wins.

High School: Spent four years at Kelly High School and was team MVP as a junior as well as a first-team All-State and All-District selection...Was Pitcher of the Year for school in 2005 and was named Most Improved in 2004...As a junior, was named a Perfect Game All-American and posted a 1.65 ERA with a .523 batting average...Was also named Freshman Player of the Year.
