Irie Nicholas joined the Privateer Athletic Training Staff in September 2022. Nicholas will be working with the Cross Country and Track and Field programs for the 2022-23 season.

Nicholas spent the previous four years working locally for Holy Cross High School, working across all sports. Prior to that, Nicholas worked primarily in the Lafayette region with different programs.

From 2015 through 2017, Nicholas was a Student Athletic Trainer with the University of Louisiana, the Louisiana Ice Gators, Precision Physical Therapy  and St. Martinville High School. At Louisiana, Nicholas worked with the football and softball teams. 

Nicholas also worked the Zydeco Marathon (2015-17) and the Louisiana Marathon (2016).

Nicholas received her Associate's Degree from Labette Community College in 2014 and her Bachelor's from Louisiana in 2017.
