Michael Nicholls is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Nicholls had a strong showing in his first collegiate indoor meet at the Purple Tiger Invitational on Friday, breaking the school record for the 60-meter hurdles. Nicholls turned in a time of 8.13 in the preliminaries.

In the finals, Nicholls improved another couple of hundredths, finishing at an 8.11 which placed him second, ahead of two Stephen F. Austin runners who also qualified for the finals.
