Steve Vail joined teammate Hunter Smith in placing amongst the top eight players at the Indian Bayou Classic this past weekend. The UNO duo joined a group from host North Alabama in being the only squads to have two players amongst the top 10 in the individual field.

In order to make the top 10, Vail posted back-to-back career best scores.

On the opening day of the tournament, the Australian overcame rough conditions to shoot a 2-over 74, which placed him in a tie for ninth through 18 holes. One day later, Vail carded a 1-under 71 for yet another career-best score and finish.
