CLUJ-NAPOCA, Romania - Former University of New Orleans basketball
player and current U Mobitelco Cluj star Kyndall Dykes was named
EuroBasket.com's Romanian Divizia A Player of the Week on Friday.
Dykes is playing for the Romanian-based squad for the second straight year in the country's top tier league.
The Warren Easton product scored a game-high 27 points to go along with
seven rebounds and six assists in his team's 87-85 victory over Mures.
Dykes is currently ranked second in the league in points per game with
20.3 while averaging 2.5 steals and shooting 63 percent from the field.
Last year, Dykes averaged 12.9 points and 2.5 rebounds a game for a team that once served as the home to former NBA star Gheorghe Muresan, Dykes helped his team to a 25-5 record before the squad fell short last May in the league's championship series.
The former forward for head coach
Joe Pasternack is one of two players
putting together successful seasons in Europe. 2010 All-EuroLeague

Italian Serie A and atop their group in the 2010-11 EuroLeague with a
3-0 record.
