There will be no means to follow this game live & no stats will be immediately available post-game. Check UNOPrivateers.com late Friday for a quick recap of this contest.

SELMA, Ala. - The scenery will look different for the University of New Orleans men's basketball program as they venture outside the city limits for the first time in over a month to face Concordia College-Selma on Friday at 7 p.m.

UNO (7-4) has played nine games at three different venues throughout the greater New Orleans area since a win against Selma on Nov. 15 at Lakefront Arena.

Friday's contest at CCS (5-9) is the first game outside the Crescent City for the Privateers since dropping contests to New Mexico and Rice on consecutive nights to open the season Nov. 11 and Nov. 12.

Winners of their last four and 7 of 9, UNO will look to continue their recent run of success.

Tuesday's victory against NCAA Division II foe Saint Leo was a show of the depth that head coach Mark Slessinger's team possesses. The bench stood up to the challenge presented by the Lions, outscoring their foes 34-8.

The defense held their end of the bargain as well for UNO as SLU had 17 turnovers, leading to a 19-6 advantage in the points off of turnovers count.

Lovell Cook is now the top scorer for the Privateers with an average of 12.2 points per outing including a game-high 17 on Tuesday. Antonio Wertz follows Cook with 12 points a game and will look to rebound from his career-low two point effort against SLU.

While no stats are available on CCS, the Hornets have split their last two contests.

On Tuesday, CCS defeated Southern (N.O.) 84-77 in overtime before being blasted 102-65 by Tougaloo on Wednesday. The games were a change of pace for the Hornets, who fell to SUNO earlier in the season while defeating Tougaloo.

Last year, the Privateers defeated CCS 97-55 at Lakefront Arena. Wertz was the top scorer in the game with 17 points with key contributions from current teammates Max Banchy and Brandon Knight, who added 15 and 12 points, respectively.

Following Friday's contest in Alabama, UNO will return home to Lakefront Arena to challenge future Gulf South Conference foe North Alabama at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. The game is the second half of a doubleheader with the Lady Privateers, who tip at 12 p.m.
