THE GAME:

The New Orleans men's basketball team starts off the second half of Southland Conference play this Saturday, February 6, as the Privateers take on Central Arkansas at 2:30 p.m. CT in an ESPN3 featured contest.
 
The Privateers toppled the Bears once already this season, 87-67, and will look to remain perfect against Central Arkansas in the Farris Center.

THE OPPONENT:
Central Arkansas 
The Bears continue to look for their first win of the 2014-15 season as they host the Privateers at the Farris Center. Jake Zuilhof has become one of the top shooters in the conference, holding a shooting percentage of .580 while averaging just over 10 points per outing.

LAST TIME OUT:
The New Orleans men's basketball team overcame a 10-point deficit to tie things up late but couldn't overcome the Colonels on Monday night, taking a 67-55 loss to Nicholls in Southland Conference action. Christavious Gill, Kevin Hill and Tevin Broyles each finished up in double-figures scoring to lead the Privateers as New Orleans sees its record move to 6-12 on the year and 2-7 in SLC action.

New Orleans returns home to the Lakefront Arena this Monday, February 9, as the Cowboys of McNeese State come to town for a 7 p.m. CT affair.

The Privateers have never lost to the Bears in their brief history together, holding a 2-0 advantage after taking the first meeting earlier this season, 87-67, in the Lakefront Arena.

Gill's Scoring Streak
With 10 straight double-figure scoring games, sophomore Christavious Gill has remained the team's leading scorer, averaging 12.1 points per outing, giving Gill one point for nearly every two minutes of time on the court. Gill has put together an impressive offensive run of New Orleans, scoring in double-figures in 18 out of the last 20 games for the Privateers dating back to last season.
 
Frye vs. UCA
Guard Nate Frye now ranks as the team leader in assists, handing out three per game including seven alone during the win over Central Arkansas, the second time this season Frye has hit the seven assists mark in an outing.
 
Hill on the Boards
On the boards it has been Kevin Hill bringing in the rebounds, averaging 6.8 per game. Hill also has the only double-figure rebounding games for New Orleans this season with four to go with his three double-doubles.
 
Frye from the Line
With 54-of-64 makes from the stripe, Nate Frye ranks No. 3 in the Southland Conference and No. 64 in the nation in free-throw percentage with an .844 mark.
 
Team Free Throws
With 29 free-throw attempts per game on average, New Orleans is currently the most proficient team in terms of getting to the line in the nation.
 
Field Goal Percentage
New Orleans remains one of the top shooting teams in both the Southland Conference and the nation, putting the ball in the net at a 45-percent success rate. That mark ranks the Privateers at No. 102 in the country with 424 makes out of 953 attempts.
