NEW YORK – A new season is finally here as the University of New Orleans will take on St. John's University November 10 at 6 p.m. CT at Carnesecca Arena. The game will be televised on Fox College Sports and can be watched on Fox Sports GO.
WHAT TO WATCH
Two Privateers –
Ezekiel Charles and
Tyren Harrison – will make their UNO debut Friday in a familiar place; Charles is a Brooklyn native and Harrison played at nearby Campus Magnet in Queens.
The reigning Southland Conference champions return two starters – seniors
Travin Thibodeaux and
Makur Puou. Thibodeaux averaged 8.7 points on 51.7 percent shooting, 7.3 rebounds, a team-high 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals en route to a conference all-defensive team selection while Puou put up averages of 5.8 points (55.8 percent), 4.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks.
Michael Zeno looks to move into the starting five after playing a key reserve role last season and seniors
Jorge Rosa and
Matthew Jiles, and sophomore
Bryson Robinson make up the returning group for
Mark Slessinger's squad.
