THE TIP
• The final road game until mid-December features New Orleans visiting UAB for the second consecutive season.
• The Privateers are 0-3 when playing the Blazers at Bartow Arena.
• Coming off a 28-point win over Pensacola Christian, UNO's head coach will become the program's leader at the helm of the men's basketball squad once the ball is tipped. Slessinger is in his eighth season at UNO (211 games entering Wednesday).
• Last season, the Privateers erased a 19-point deficit and made it a one-possession ballgame with 1:28 remaining. Led by Damion Rosser's 13 points and Lamont Berzat's four steals. The Blazers came out victorious 74-67.
• New Orleans returns to Lakefront Arena following Thanksgiving for three consecutive games - Saturday vs. Governor's State, Load the Lakefront vs. Louisiana-Lafayette Nov. 28 and Dec. 5 vs. South Alabama.
• Coach Sless said everyone would play and they've done just that with active student-athletes appearing in all three games.
Ezekiel Charles has reached double figures in seven of his last eight games dating back to last season. He leads the club in scoring, averaging 11.0 points per game.
Bryson Robinson has come off the bench averaging 10.7 points per game.
Tyren Harrison is coming off a career-high 11 points in Monday's win.

ABOUT THE PRIVATEERS
Coach Slessinger tied Ron Greene for most games at the helm of the men's basketball program Monday (211). In his eighth season at UNO, Slessinger led the Privateers to back-to-back postseasons for the first time since 1996-97.

New Orleans has two players averaging double figures - Ezekiel Charles (11.0) and Bryson Robinson (10.7).

In Monday's win, UNO forced 30 Pensacola Christian turnovers and the bench scored 54 points. Tyren Harrison reached double figures for the first time as a Privateer with 11 points.

Gerrale Gates leads the club with 5.7 rebounds, followed by Charles' 5.3, and Lamont Berzat is dishing out 4.3 assists per game.

Early in the year, defense looks like the vocal point with seven players averaging 1.0+ steal per game, with Berzat, Robinson, Gates and Amari Haynes collecting 1.7/contest.

ABOUT THE BLAZERS
Playing just one regular season game (Nov. 6), UAB defeated Mercer at Bartow Arena 75-67. The Blazers also hosted Georgia and Morehouse in exhibitions. Wednesday will be the second of a three-game homestand for UAB.

The Blazers have won 11 consecutive non-conference games and overall, are 14-2 under head coach Robert Ehsan versus non-conference opponents.

In the win over the Bears, Jalen Perry was one of four to reach double figures with 16 points. UAB went 29-of-35 from the charity stripe in the W.

THE SERIES
Wednesday marks the eighth meeting between New Orleans and UAB with the Blazers leading the series 5-2. UNO is 0-3 in Birmingham.

A WIN WOULD...
- Be the 805th in program history
- Be the 95th for coach Slessinger (eighth season)
- Give UNO a 3-1 start for first time under Slessinger
