NEW ORLEANS – Join the Privateers at Lakefront Arena Saturday at 2 p.m. for the first true home game in a month when the University of New Orleans (5-7, 0-1 Southland) welcomes Houston Baptist University (5-7, 1-0 Southland).
The Privateers are returning to Lakefront Arena for the first time since December 5 when New Orleans defeated South Alabama 71-60.

ABOUT THE PRIVATEERS
The Privateers return to Lakefront Arena for the first time since December 5 when they defeated the Jaguars of South Alabama 71-60.
UNO is 5-1 at home and 4-1 at Lakefront Arena. Last season, New Orleans went 6-3 in conference games at Lakefront Arena.
Plaisance Jr. has started all 12 games this season with his frontcourt mate
Gerrale Gates earning 11 starts.
UNO is led by a pair of seniors with guard Charles averaging 10.9 points and Plaisance Jr. following with 10.1. Gates leads the squad with 5.1 rebounds and adds 8.3 points.
New Orleans ranks in the top five in the nation in steals and turnovers forced.
ABOUT THE HUSKIES
HBU began Southland play with an 88-82 overtime victory over Lamar. Ian DuBose came off a career-high 33 points and added 10 rebounds. Braxton Bonds' 2.81 assist-to-turnover ratio this season is second-best in the conference and ranks him 52nd nationally. As a team, HBU leads all SLC teams and is 29th in the nation at 83.3 points per game.
THE SERIES
The Privateers lead the series 9-6, including a 5-2 record when hosting the Huskies.
INJURY BUG
New Orleans was hit with an injury bug with only 10 players dressing Saturday at Baylor. Missing were starters
Lamont Berzat and
Troy Green, and role players
Tyren Harrison and
Jahmel Myers. In the conference opener at Abilene Christian, Green and Myers came back in limited minutes.
