NEW ORLEANS – New Orleans men's basketball is the only program in action this week as Finals Week approaches.
The Privateers visit #RV LSU Tuesday at 8 p.m. The game will be televised on the SEC Network and can be streamed by using the ESPN app. All games are on Nash Icon 106.1 FM and Tune-In, beginning with the pregame show 15 minutes prior to tip.
New Orleans is 3-4 this season after back-to-back wins last week. Four players are averaging double figures, the most since the 2014-15 season.
NOTES
• New Orleans went 2-0 last week with a historic win vs. Eureka Friday & a double-digit victory over local rival Xavier.
• Friday's victory marked the most points scored by New Orleans at Lakefront Arena (125). In fact, it was the second time the Privateers set the standard at home, with the season opener (114) breaking the old record.
• Jaylen Key averaged 16.0 points and 8.0 rebounds last week.
• Key posted 15 points and 10 rebounds in Friday's win, posting the first double-double at Lakefront Arena by a Privateers since Feb. 9, 2019 (Scott Plaisance Jr.).
• Ahren Freeman reached double figures in both games last week and continues to show his upside as a true freshman.
• In Friday's rout of Eureka, seven student-athletes reached double figures, the most in recent memory.
• UNO has not competed against LSU since November 19, 2013 when the Tigers won the battle 81-54.
• LSU enters 5-2 in 2019-20 after appearing in the 2019 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.
• New Orleans' last win over an SEC opponent came on December 18, 2001 v. LSU (60-59).
• Tuesday is New Orleans' third contest on ESPN/ESPN affiliate this season - 11/12 at SMU (ESPN3), & 11/17 at Mississippi State (SEC Network Plus).
• Bryson Robinson has reached double figures in every game this season.
• The Privateers are 1-0 against Louisiana programs this season.
• New Orleans is 3-1 when scoring 70+ points this season.
• Four Privateers are averaging double figures. The last time four or more New Orleans student-athletes scored 10+/game was in 2014-15.
