CROSS COUNTRY
The Privateers begin the season hosting the New Orleans Cross Country Opener Friday at Lake Oaks Park. The women's 4000m race begins at 6 p.m. with the men's 5000m event following at 6:45 p.m.
It's a new look for the Privateers after a season that featured program records for lowest team point totals recorded at the Southland Conference Championships on both the men's and women's squads.
Highlighting the women's squad is 2018 Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year and Louisiana Sports Writers Association Cross Country Athlete of the Year
Arina Kleschukova. The men return six student-athletes.
