  • LOOKING TO REWRITE HISTORY BOOKS: With a win on Thursday against LSU, the Privateers would record the first win  under head coach Mark Slessinger. The Privateers' last win over the Tigers was a 60-59 victory under former head coach Monte Towe in 2001.
  • JOHNSON RANKED FOURTH: Junior Jordan Johnson goes into tomorrow's matchup ranked fourth nationally in steals per game (4.0).
  • DUO AND DEFENSE: The Privateers are coming off a 65-63 win at home against St. Francis (Ill.) Their defense forced 33 turnovers against the Fighting Saints.With some additional good individual performances, including the duo in Johnson and Khaleb Wilson-Rouse who both posted 14 points, the guys are still looking to improve with each game. 
  • THE TIGERS: LSU is 2-0 this season with wins over Kansas City (74-63) and Arkansas State (61-52). Adam Miller leads the Tigers averaging 22 points per game. LSU Coach Matt McMahon is in his first season at the head.
