NEW ORLEANS- New Orleans Men's Basketball program is prepared to take on three non-conference teams for the 2nd Annual Big Easy Classic presented by Embassy Suites New Orleans Nov. 23-25. The Privateers will take on The Citadel tomorrow at 2 p.m., IUPUI at 2 p.m. Nov. 24, and Denver at 2 p.m. at Nov. 25. Each game featuring the Privateers will be broadcasted on ESPN + and 106.1 NASH FM, while the other games will be shown free of charge on UNOPrivateers.com/watch.
GAME NOTES
New Orleans is looking to build upon their at-home winning streak against The Citadel, an opponent they have not yet faced. Junior
Khaleb Wilson-Rouse neared a double-double while recording a career-high in points (21) and rebounds (8) against LSU.
Tyson Jackson joined Wilson-Rouse in the double-digits with 14 points, matching his performance against Butler.
Jordan Johnson, who leads the Privateers in scoring at 14.5 points per game, will return to action after undergoing a minor injury. Against the Tigers, the Privateers shot 46% from the field and 41% from the arc. They also scored 19 points off the bench and forced 14 turnovers.
The Bulldogs are 2-2 with wins against Presbyterian College and Morris College. In their most recent matchup against Butler (L 89-42), the Citadel shot 30,8% from the field and 23.8% from the arc and allowed 30 points off turnovers. Austin Ash leads the team with 16.5 points per game.
