Privateers Wrap-up Nonconference at Stephen F. Austin

NEW ORLEANS, La. - New Orleans men's basketball (5-7) will wrap up nonconference play against former Southland foe Stephen F. Austin Friday at the William R. Johnson Coliseum in Nacogdoches, Tx. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. central. The game will air on 106.1 NASH FM with Jude Young on the call.    

This will mark the 12th meeting between the two teams. The Lumberjacks lead the all-time series 9-2 and won the last meeting (89-79) in the 2020-21 season at Lakefront Arena as a member of the SLC. Troy Green led New Orleans in scoring with 20 points. The Privateers secured both victories at home with the most recent (68-61) in 2019.

PREVIEW       
New Orleans heads to Nacogdoches after dropping a contest on the road to Ohio State University before the holiday break. The Privateers are scoring 76.3 ppg and forcing over 16 turnovers. A win over SFA would improve New Orleans record to 6-7 and 2-8 on the road.  
  
Jordan Johnson still leads the Privateers in scoring (21.83 ppg), three-pointers (36), and assists (50). The seventh ranked NCAA scorer ranks eighth nationally in total points (262). Johnson has scored 20 or more points in seven games. The senior out of Memphis, Tenn. is 24 three-pointers shy of 200 career three-pointers.  

Khaleb Wilson-Rouse is also averaging double-figures (10.6) while leading the team in steals (23). The Chicagoan averaged nearly 20 points over four games (North Dakota, UCA, Minnesota, and Belhaven) leading into December.  

Turk Vincent is averaging 7.6 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds per game. The New Orleans native has started in five matchups and recorded his second game in double-figures against Brimingham-Southern.  

SCOUTING THE LUMBERJACKS 
The Lumberjacks (7-5) are coming off a 115-58 win over Paul Quinn College. Sadaidriene Hall (25) and Juhlawnei Stone (22) led in scoring and posted season highs. Myles Jenkins (14) also posted a career high. SFA's offense shot 58.0% from the field. 

SFA ranks sixth in the country in bench points as they are currently averaging 39.17 points per game. The Lumberjacks are also third in the NCAA in in turnovers forced per game (18.42). 
 
Sadaidriene Hall leads the scoring for SFA as he averages 10.9 points per game on 52% shooting from the field.  He also leads in rebounding with 4.8 rebounds per game. 

Head Coach Kyle Keller is in his eighth season at the helm for SFA with a 92-73 record.
