Senior Tyson Jackson's Stellar Performance Not Enough as Privateers Fall to Northwestern State 70-59

Box Score NATCHITOCHES, La. - Senior Tyson Jackson notched his fifth career double-double to lead the charge for the University of New Orleans men's basketball team (8-17, SLC 3-9) in a hard-fought 70-59 loss against Northwestern State Monday night.

Jackson, a veteran, matched his season-high of 18 points with an impressive 11 rebounds. Additionally, Carlos Hart's  contributed 12 points, five rebounds, and a pair of blocks in his return to the starting lineup. This marked Hart's second consecutive game in double-figures.

Jordan Johnson was sidelined due to injury as well and did not play.

Northwestern State shot 46.9% in the second half to secure the victory with four Demons in double-figures.

In a contest that saw three lead changes and three ties, New Orleans led by as much as 11 points in the opening half. The Privateers shot 35.7% on the game and out-rebounded the Demons 40-36.

UP NEXT: New Orleans will return to the Lakefront to host Lamar Saturday. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m.
