NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers men's basketball schedule has been announced for the 2025-26 season and features a 31-game slate with 22 conference contests, one non-conference home game, and trips to the sites of two teams who advanced to at least the Elite Eight last season.
The season kicks off with a trip to Fort Worth to take on the TCU Horned Frogs on Nov. 3, before returning home to host SUNO at Lakefront Arena on Nov. 8. That Saturday marks Homecoming for the University of New Orleans, with tailgating and concerts on the grounds of Lakefront Arena before and after the game.
More information on tailgating packages, as well as the 2026 New Orleans Athletics Hall of Fame ceremonies on Nov. 7, will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Privateers stay close to home in the middle of November with trips to local rivals LSU on Nov. 10 and Tulane on Nov. 14. New Orleans then heads west for a pair of gams at Pepperdine and Fresno State in the Acrisure Holiday Invitational. A busy November concludes with games at Mississippi State on Nov. 24 and at Texas Tech on Nov. 26. The Red Raiders finished last season ranked No. 8 in the AP Poll with a loss to Florida in the Elite Eight.
UNO heads to Memphis to open the December slate on Dec. 3, before returning home to host HCU on Dec. 6 and UIW on Dec. 8 - the first two of 22 Southland Conference games scheduled for the season. The non-conference portion of the schedule wraps up on Dec. 13 with a trip to Houston to take on the Cougars, a team that finished No. 2 in the AP Poll last season after a loss the Florida in the NCAA Championship game.
A pair of home games against McNeese on Feb. 28 and Southeastern on March 2 wrap up the regular season for the Privateers. The Southland Conference Tournament will take place March 8-11 at the Legacy Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana.
All Southland contests, home and away, as well as the SUNO game will be broadcast on ESPN+. A full broadcast schedule, including radio, will be made available closer to the season. Fans can check UNOPrivateers.com in the coming weeks for updated tipoff times as well.
