Biography

2006: Finished fifth on team with .320 average and was fourth with seven home runs...Was also second on team with 29 stolen bases and 15 doubles...Started the season hitting .449 in first 12 games...Had three hits or more nine times and had 23 multi-hit games...Had four hits and four RBIs in first two games of Sun Belt Tournament...Had three RBIs against Fordham on Feb. 24 and Troy on April 29.

2005: Was named 2005 Louisiana Newcomer of the Year by La. Sports Writers Association and was a second-team All-Sun Belt selection...Appeared in 57 games and started 55...Led team with .362 average, 51 runs, 83 hits, 19 doubles, 29 walks, 16 stolen bases and a .550 slugging percentage...Tied for team lead with 47 RBIs...Hit .402 with three home runs and 25 RBIs in league play.

PRE-NEW ORLEANS: Started 49 games and hit .305 with three home runs and 22 RBIs as James Madison’s primary leadoff hitter...Was also 19-for-29 in stolen bases...Hit first career home run against Maryland.

HIGH SCHOOL: Hit .618 and was 2002 batting champion at Northern Bedford High School...Was part of two Sideling Hill League championship teams in 2000 and 2001....’00 squad won District 5 championship and qualified for the Pennsylvania State Tournament...Also played basketball...President of the National Honor Society and was a Who’s Who Among American High School Students.
