Biography

2009: Probably made the most improvement of any pitcher from previous season...Was consistently used in late-inning spots and finished with 24 appearances and a 4-1 record...Led pitching staff in victories...Left-handers hit .229 against him...First career win came on March 26 against Harvard and got his second win less than a week later against Nicholls State (April 1)...Threw two scoreless innings of relief to pick up his first conference win at FIU on April 17...Worked more than one inning in 10 appearances.

2008: Made four appearances in redshirt freshman season and tossed 1 2/3 innings...Made his collegiate debut and got the final out in a 9-4 win over Miami (Ohio) on March 2...Pitched in both mid-week games against Southern...Allowed six hits and seven runs overall.

High School: Played two seasons at Grossmont High School in La Mesa, Calif., and was part of CIF championship squad in 2005 and ’06.
