Biography

2007: Was one of Privateers’ top hitters all season...Started season 1-for-15 before going on a tear...Set a school record with 57-game on-base streak and will carry streak over into 2008...Hit .395 during the streak and has an on-base percentage of .487...Second on team lead with 60 RBIs...Had 27 errors and was threatening to set a school record for errors in a season (28) but did not commit an error in final nine games...Was named MVP of WOW Café and Wingery Cup Series, leading UNO to series win over Tulane... Had 28 multi-hit games and 15 multi-RBI contests.

2006: Started 40 games and appeared in 52 during second season as a Privateer...Finished fifth on team with 34 runs scored and hit. 250 with a home run and 17 RBIs...Only home run came on March 18 against Buffalo...Went 2-for-5 with four RBIs in game...Had four multi-RBI games and 10 multi-hit games...Was 3-for-4 with four runs scored in April 9 contest against Middle Tennessee...Started season with six hits in first 14 at-bats.

2005: Hit .294 with four home runs and 32 RBIs, appearing in 44 games and getting 41 starts at third base...Tied for the team lead with three triples and tied for second with 24 walks...Finished fourth on team with .374 on-base percentage...Hit .287 with three home runs and 19 RBIs in league play.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was an All-State performer at Toms River East High School...Was the Ocean County Player of the Year and was named Offensive Player of the Year for the Shore Conference...Broke the school record for single-season triples and led the team in RBIs...Team was ranked No. 1 in the state for four weeks and was part of Group IV South Jersey championship team...Tallied 110 career hits despite missing junior year with a knee injury...Also played football and basketball while attending Point Pleasant Boro High School.

PERSONAL: Born Dec. 13, 1985 in Elizabeth, N.J...Son of Thomas and Theresa Baxter...Father is a former assistant baseball coach at Rutgers who played in Oakland A’s organization from 1976-79...Has two younger sisters ? Mary Kate and Claire.
