Biography

SENIOR SEASON (2008-09)

Capped her career with the third finalist appearance in four years, placing eighth in the 200 back at the SBC meet (2/21), swimming a 2:05.08 that was the second-fastest time in school history in the event along the way...Made podium appearances in the 200 free relay (1:33.10) and 400 medley (3:46.16)...Swam a school-record 57.04 in the 100 back (2/20) at the SBC meet...Time of 26.75 in her 50 back leg of the 200 medley set a school-record in the event on 2/19...Swam a 24.20 in the 50 free at the SBC meet (2/19), the fourth-fastest in school history...Won the 200 breast against Incarnate Word (2:29.92) in team's first dual of the season, swimming the second-fastest time on the season in the event and fourth-fastest all-time...Added a victory over Georgia Southern (11/15) at the Georgia Tech Quad in the 50 free (24.75), the second-fastest time by a UNO swimmer in the event all-time at that point...Claimed two victories against Delta State (11/22), winning the 50 free (24.68) and 100 back (59.47)...Finished second in the 100 free (1:03.38) at the Bob Mowerson Sprint Meet (1/6)...Defeated DSU (1/24) in the 200 back (2:08.85) while also adding the second-fastest time of the season in the 200 IM (2:12.11) in the same dual.

JUNIOR SEASON (2007-2008)

Part of six school records set during conference championship meet...as an individual, set marks in the 200 back (2:07.58), 100 back (57.70) and 200 IM (2:09.42)...member of 200 medley (1:48.47), 400 free (3:35.44), and 200 free (1:36.73) relay teams that set school records...won three events in quad meet against Delta State, UALR and Lambut, taking the 50 back, 75 back and 100 IM...won 200 back against North Florida...won 200 IM against Rice...part of 400 relay victory against Houston...won 100 back against Centenary and Henderson State...three top-three finishes in double dual against Georgia Southern and Savannah College of Art and Design

SOPHOMORE SEASON (2006-2007)

Set school-record in the 100 back with a mark of 58.28 at the Sun Belt conference meet, finishing fifth...Member of school record-setting 200 free (1:38.12), 400 free (3:36.64), 200 medley (1:49.41) and 400 medley (3:58.54) relay teams at conference meet.

FRESHMAN SEASON (2005-2006)

Broke school record with a mark of 24.48 in 50 free at Sun Belt conference meet...Best mark in 200 free with a time of 1:57.90 coming at the conference meet...Personal top mark of 54.39 in the 100 free at conference meet

HIGH SCHOOL

Four-year Swimming All-American (2001-2005) for The Woodlands HS (Texas). Also played water polo.

Daughter of Mark and Jean McClelland...Majoring in Naval/Marine Engineering...Sister, Amanda...High school teammate, Katie Gates swims for Missouri...was part of NCAA on Campus television show airing on ESPNU and ESPN Classic in January 2008
