NEW ORLEANS - Radford posted its third shutout of the season and defeated the University of New Orleans men's tennis team 7-0 on Thursday afternoon at the University Tennis Center.
Radford improved to 8-3 on the season and 3-0 on their current road trip with a victory over a UNO (3-2) team that had last taken to the court on Feb. 19.
The Highlanders opened the dual match with a trio of victories in doubles' play to claim the doubles' point.
Vinay Kamineni and
Abdelrahman Zaki put up the biggest fight, falling short 8-6 at the No. 2 position against Igor Ogrizek and Stijn Meulemans.
In singles' play, Radford took wins in straight sets in each match with the exception of the No. 3 singles' court, where Zaki fell 6-1, 2-6, 6-0 to Ogrizek.
The Privateers will return to the court on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the UTC against NAIA foe Mobile.
