HAMMOND, La. – The University of New Orleans women's basketball team will head north on I-55 on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest against in-state foe Southeastern Louisiana at the University Center.

UNO is off to a 0-14 start under first-year head coach Keeshawn Carter.
Wednesday's contest represents the ninth on the season on a true road court for the Lady Privateers, who are coming off their first 40 percent shooting performance in four games after eclipsing the mark in Monday's loss at Loyola (N.O.).
Kayla Chaney was one of three scorers in double-figures in the contest, establishing a career-high with 11 points.
Chaney's performance came on the heels of scoring no points against Auburn-Montgomery in her previous outing with her five rebounds representing the third time in the last four games in which she has grabbed at least five rebounds.
Leading the Lady Privateers was
Mirjam Sipos, who reached double-figures for the 11
th time on the season and the fifth straight game. Sipos scored 16 points against the Wolfpack and leads the team with 13.2 points per game.
SLU (4-8) is the third NCAA Division I opponent on the slate for UNO.
The Lions have posted wins against Jackson State, Spring Hill, Mobile and Centenary this season. SHC is a mutual opponent for the Lady Privateers, who dropped a home contest to the Badgers earlier this season.
Aja Gibson is the top scorer on the SLU roster with 12.4 points per game followed by Kelli Jenkins with 9.3 points. Gibson doubles as the second-leading rebounder at 6.9 grabs off the glass an outing, right behind Brandi Simmons, the team's leader with 8.5 rebounds a night.
UNO leads the all-time series against the Lions 18-11, including 8-6 in Hammond, La. SLU won last year's lone meeting between the teams 83-47 at the Human Performance Center on Nov. 19, 2010.
Following Wednesday's contest, the Lady Privateers will host Lindenwood at 12 p.m. at Lakefront Arena in the first game of a Saturday doubleheader. Originally scheduled for a 4:30 p.m. start, the game was moved up and will be followed by a UNO men's basketball contest at 2:15 p.m.
