First 100 Fans to Donate Three Items Receive General Admission Ticket

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Privateer athletic department in partnership with Ochsner Health System will give one complimentary general admission ticket to the first 100 people donating three (3) non-perishable food items at Thursday's men's basketball game at Lakefront Arena.
 
The promotion ahead of Thursday's 7 p.m. contest against Bethune-Cookman is part of the UNO Staff Council's annual Holiday Food Drive and put on in cooperation with the Faculty Senate and Student Government
 
Fans seeking to contribute to the food drive are encouraged to bring their non-perishable food items to a representative stationed at the base of 'Ramp 1'.  The goods collected on Thursday will be delivered to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans.

Suggested Items include (non-glass containers preferred):
Dairy: Boxed shelf-stable milk, evaporated milk, dry milk
Fruits & Vegetables: apple sauce, canned fruits in juices, canned vegetables, shelf-stable 100% juice, spaghetti sauce without meat, dried fruit
Proteins: canned pork & beans, dry beans, canned soup or stew, canned tuna, canned chili, canned chicken, nuts, peanut butter
Grains: cereal, rice, pasta, crackers, healthy snacks
