NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Privateers women's basketball team will travel to SEC foe Mississippi State on Sunday to take on the Lady Bulldogs. Tip-off in Humphrey Coliseum is set for 3 p.m.
The Privateers (0-2) are coming off of a 76-52 loss to the Grambling State Tigers, and were led by junior
Dannisha Jackson with 12 points. Jackson's points came from off the bench, connecting on 6-of-12 shots from the floor while also contributing 3 rebounds.
The only other Privateer in double digits was true freshman
Raven Coleman, also coming off the bench to score her total of 10 points. Coleman also had 4 rebounds before fouling out.
The Lady Bulldogs (3-0) are under the fresh direction of Vic Schaefer, who is 2-0 in his first season with Mississippi State. The Lady Bulldogs feature a total of five players averaging double figures on the season, with Kendra Grant and Martha Alwal leading the way with each having an average of 13.5 points per game.
Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. at Humphrey Coliseum.
