NEW ORLEANS, La. - The New Orleans Privateers women's basketball team will continue their road swing with trips to Jackson State on Thursday and Murray State on Saturday. The Privateers will tip off against SWAC foe, Jackson State at 7 p.m.
 
Sophomore forward, 
Yasmin Taylor has pulled down 20 rebounds in two games since returning from injury that kept her out of the first three games of the season. Freshman, 
Jewel Angelo is coming off her first double digit scoring effort in her collegiate career after putting in 10 points against Louisiana Tech on 4-8 from the field.
 
Jackson State and UNO will meet for the third time since 2008. The teams split their previous pair of meetings with UNO taking a 71-52 victory in 2008. The Lady Tigers won 82-51 at Lakefront Arena last season. Both of those contests were played in New Orleans.
               
The Lady Tigers (1-6) have given up 77.7 points per game this season, compatible with New Orleans who stands at 78.2 points allowed per contest. Jackson State garnered their lone win in their home opener, a 74-50 victory over Houston Baptist. They're led offensively by junior, Ayana Hardy-Fuller who is averaging 11.6 points per game, and has scored 41 points in her last three contests.
 
On Saturday, the Privateers head to Kentucky to take on the Murray State Racers (5-2). The Racers have won three straight, and play a Wednesday tilt against Xavier before their match with the Privateers. Murray State is one of only two teams in the Ohio Valley Conference with an above .500 record. They're led by Keiona Kirby who is averaging 19.4 points per game, and is coming off back-to-back 20-plus point efforts in wins over Kennesaw State and Lipscomb.
 
The Privateers return home on December 14th as they take on in-state foe, Louisiana-Lafayette before they head on a five-game road trip that starts at North Carolina on December 16th.
