The Privateers had a rough go against the 19
th-ranked team in the nation, losing 84-33 to Oklahoma State and being held to the lowest field goal percentage (25 percent) in a game this season.
Tulsa lost their most recent game to Arkansas 64-53 at home. The Golden Hurricane have lost four of the last five since getting out to a 4-1 start.

THE OPPONENT:Tulsa is just 1-3 on their own home floor with that win coming against another Southland foe in Lamar (73-69 on Nov. 17). Individually, the Golden Hurricane are led by Mariah Turner and Ashley Clark who average 14.2 and 14.0 points per game respectively. Clark, a two-year letter winner, has three of her seven career-double doubles this year.

LAST TIME OUT:New Orleans was held to the lowest point total this season in an 84-33 loss to Oklahoma State.
Halie Matthews and
Octavia Wilson co-led the team in scoring with six points each. Matthews also pulled in a team-high five rebounds.

NEXT UP:The Privateers close out the road trip by facing the second SEC opponent this season in Alabama on Sunday, Dec. 21. Tip is slated for 2 p.m. Following that, New Orleans closes out the non-conference slate at home against Kent State on Dec. 30.

NEWS AND NOTES:What a Steal:Yasmin Taylor leads the Southland Conference in steals with 21 (3.5 per game). Taylor recorded four steals in 24 minutes on Monday against Oklahoma State after swiping eight steals against Crowley's Ridge.

Wilson Heating Up at the Line:Octavia Wilson has hit 12 of her last 13 free throw attempts after starting the season 2-for-7 from the charity stripe. Wilson was fourth in the Southland as a freshman in free throw percentage (81.1 percent).

Balance the Minutes:Only two Privateers are averaging over 20 minutes per game and the team leader,
Danielle Davis is averaging 26.3 minutes per contest. Last season, the Privateers had four players average over 20 minutes a game.

The Road Less Traveled:Each team has won on the other's home floor in the all-time series. Tulsa recorded a 66-59 win in Nov. 1997. The Privateers then returned the favor three year later, winning 55-40 in Tulsa in Nov. 2000.
