NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Privateers women's team (0-26, 0-15 Southland) got stops early but struggled from the field in a 68-36 loss to the Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks (16-11, 10-5) on Thursday night at Lakefront Arena.
The Privateers were able to get stops early against a sluggish Stephen F. Austin squad. New Orleans grabbed their first and only advantage at 7-5 on a 
Danielle Davis three-pointer with 15:25 remaining in the first half.
Stephen F. Austin immediately tied the game at 7-7 on the next possession, but both teams went on a near three-minute scoring drought. The Ladyjacks steadily pulled away though as the Privateers struggled from the field going 4-of-26 in the first half. Stephen F. Austin went to the half with a 33-13 advantage. For the game, New Orleans was held to just 18.9 percent (10-of-53).
The Ladyjacks out-scored New Orleans 46-6 in the paint and had a 20-5 advantage in second chance points despite the Privateers collecting three more offensive rebounds. The Ladyjacks narrowly out-rebounded New Orleans overall at 42-40.
Danielle Davis led the way in scoring with nine points. 
Raven Coleman and 
Jewel Angelo each had eight points off the bench. 
Yasmin Taylor collected her second consecutive game of double digit rebounds by hauling in 10 boards.
Porsha Roberts led the Ladyjacks with 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting and added eight rebounds. Antionette Carter also landed in double figuresaaa with 10 points. Stephen F. Austin shot 44.4 percent from the field but connected on just three of 14 attempts from three-point range on the night. The Ladyjacks also had seven blocks as a team.
The Privateers will host their final game of the season on Saturday against Northwestern State. Tip is scheduled for 4 p.m.
