THE GAME:The New Orleans Privateers women's basketball team (2-11, 0-4) concludes a two-game road swing against the Houston Baptist Huskies (7-9, 1-4) on Saturday at Sharp Gym. Tip for the front end of the doubleheader is scheduled for 4 p.m.

The Privateers opened the second week of conference play with a 76-56 loss to Stephen F. Austin on Thursday. New Orleans trailed by only six at the half, but surrendered a 19-0 run early in the second half of the loss.

Houston Baptist is coming off statistically their best defensive performance of the season in their first conference win, a 58-37 triumph over Central Arkansas. The 37 points were the fewest allowed by the Huskies in a game this season. Shanice Steenholdt leads the Southland in scoring at 18.9 points per game. Tayler Jefferson is in the top five in assists (3.7 per game).

LAST TIME OUT:The Privateers allowed Stephen F. Austin to sink 12 threes and fell 76-56 on Thursday. New Orleans' bench scored 37 points and the Privateers also had a 38-33 edge on the glass.
Danielle Davis achieved a season-high with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting.
Jewel Angelo had five of the Privateers' 11 assists on the evening.

NEWS AND NOTES:PERFECT CONVERSION:
The Privateers went perfect from the line at 13-for-13 against Stephen F. Austin on Thursday. New Orleans is converting at an 81.6 percent rate from the charity stripe in the last four games.
Octavia Wilson is 21-for-25 from the line after starting the year hitting two of her first seven free throw attempts.

CRASH COURSE:
The Privateers out-rebounded an opponent for the sixth time this season in the loss Thursday against Stephen F. Austin. New Orleans has crashed the offensive boards with more frequency of late, racking up 61 offensive rebounds since the start of Southland play (4
th best in the conference).

MATTHEWS RETURNS:
Halie Matthews returned to the rotation after missing the last three games due to a concussion suffered against Kent State. Matthews scored six points and grabbed two rebounds in 23 minutes.
