FIRST SERVEThe New Orleans Privateers (12-12, 2-6) finish off a road weekend with a morning match on Saturday against the Incarnate Word Cardinals (5-13, 3-6) at the McDermott Convocation Center. First serve is scheduled for 11 a.m.

The Privateers were locked in a close battle on Thursday, but fell 3-1 to Abilene Christian. After losing the first two sets by 25-21 score lines, New Orleans held off a late charge by the Wildcats in Set 3. New Orleans was trailing 24-20 in Set 4, but rallied for three straight points before the match eventually ended on a setter kill.

Blessing Dunn went for double digits kills for the fourth straight match, recording 12 to lead the team. Dunn has racked up 44 kills over the last four matches and leads the team in that category on the season. Dunn also had a .310 hitting percentage on Thursday.

Shaylene Reimer returned after missing Monday's match against UT-Rio Grande Valley due to injury. Reimer played the first two sets as a regular defender and was moved to libero before the third set on Thursday. Reimer co-led the team in digs on the night with nine.

QUICK HITS-Seven of the Privateers' last nine matches have gone beyond three sets. New Orleans is 3-8 in four-set matches.
-New Orleans is 0-2 against Incarnate Word. Both prior meetings have taken place in New Orleans.
-The Privateers had 11 service errors on Thursday, fourth-highest total this season.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENTThe Cardinals came away with a 3-1 home victory against Southeastern on Thursday. Incarnate Word took the first two sets before dropping the third. The Cardinals were staring down a 23-20 deficit when they rattled off five straight points to take the set and the match. Angelique Viduarri sealed the win with her sixth kill.

Both Incarnate Word and Southeastern were evenly matched on the stat sheet at the end of the night. The Cardinals and Lady Lions had the same number of service aces (5) and blocks (7) on the match. The Cardinals had a 55-52 edge in kills.

Bryaunea Hall led the team in kills against Southeastern with 13. Hall has seven games of 10 or more kills this season. Autumn Lockley is a true freshman who leads the team in kills and hitting percentage. Lockley has turned in four matches of 20 or more kills including a season-best 23 against Abilene Christian.

The Cardinals and Privateers have two non-conference opponents in common. Both teams played and defeated UT-Rio Grande Valley and Southern. Coming in, Incarnate Word has won three of their last four at home.
