THE GAME:

The New Orleans men's basketball team is back on the road this Monday, Feb. 16 at 7 p.m. CT as the Privateers take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in the American Bank Center.
 
The Privateers look to string together Southland Conference wins after taking a 10-point victory over McNeese State during the team's last outing one week ago.

The Islanders remain at home against the Privateers on Monday with an 8-4 conference record after taking down league-leading Stephen F. Austin on Saturday.

LAST TIME OUT:
With a career-high 21 points from both Christavious Gill and Kevin Hill, the New Orleans men's basketball team got back to its winning ways with an 81-71 win over McNeese State in the Lakefront Arena on Monday night. The win bolsters the Privateers to 7-13 on the year and 3-8 in the Southland Conference after a 59-percent night shooting from the field as a team.
 
NEXT UP:
The Privateers return home to the Lakefront Arena where New Orleans holds a 6-2 record on the year this Saturday, Feb. 21, at 6:15 p.m. CT as the team welcomes in Northwestern State.
 
NEWS AND NOTES:
The Privateers dropped the first of the two meetings to the Islanders back on Jan. 24 in the Lakefront Arena, 71-67, it what was a tightly-contested overtime affair.

80-Point Mark
New Orleans put up 80 or more points for the fifth time this season when the Privateers took down McNeese State 81-71 on Monday night in the Lakefront Arena. The Privateers are now 5-0 this season when scoring 80 or more points in a contest.
 
Gill's Scoring Run
With 11 straight double-figure scoring games out of his last 12 outings, sophomore Christavious Gill has remained the team's leading scorer, averaging 12.4 points per outing, giving Gill one point for nearly every two minutes of time on the court. Gill has put together an impressive offensive run of New Orleans, scoring in double-figures in 19 out of the last 22 games for the Privateers dating back to last season.
 
Frye's Sure Shot
With 58-of-68 makes from the free-throw line, Nate Frye ranks No. 4 in the Southland Conference and No. 46 in the nation in free-throw percentage with an .853 mark.

Career Highs
Both Kevin Hill and Gill tied career highs in the points column during the victory on Monday night against McNeese State when the two each brought in 21 points.
 
Team Free Throws
With 29 free-throw attempts per game on average, New Orleans is currently the most proficient team in terms of getting to the line in the nation.
 
From the Field
In the win over the Cowboys, New Orleans shot a lights-out 59 percent from the field as a team, making the Privateers a perfect 6-0 on the year when shooting 50 percent or better
