THE GAME:

The New Orleans men's basketball team returns home for a brief layover at the Lakefront Arena this Monday, Feb. 8, as the Privateers host McNeese State at 7 p.m. CT.

McNeese State    
The Cowboys head to New Orleans for a Monday night showdown, the second time the two teams will square off in 10 days. Desharick Guidry continues to pace McNeese State with his 17.2 points per game along with 244 total rebounds as the Cowboys are coming off of an 11-loss at Nicholls.

LAST TIME OUT:
The New Orleans men's basketball team closed out an 18-point deficit against Central Arkansas on Saturday afternoon but couldn't find the go-ahead shot, falling in Southland Conference action, 70-67. The Privateers outscored the Bears 43-34 in the final 20 minutes of action as New Orleans moves its record to 6-13 on the year and 2-8 in league play.
 
NEXT UP:
New Orleans returns to the road next Monday, Feb. 16, as the Privateers make the trek to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for a 7 p.m. CT contest.

Vs. McNeese State

The Privateers hold a slight lead over the Cowboys in the all-time series, 7-6, following the McNeese State win on Jan. 31, in Lake Charles, La.

New Orleans remains one of the top shooting teams in both the Southland Conference and the nation, putting the ball in the net at a 44-percent success rate. That mark ranks the Privateers at No. 102 in the country with 451 makes out of 1,028 attempts.
 
Scoring Leader
With 10 straight double-figure scoring games out of his last 11 outings, sophomore Christavious Gill has remained the team's leading scorer, averaging 11.9 points per outing, giving Gill one point for nearly every two minutes of time on the court. Gill has put together an impressive offensive run of New Orleans, scoring in double-figures in 18 out of the last 21 games for the Privateers dating back to last season.
 
Frye from the Line
With 54-of-64 makes from the stripe, Nate Frye ranks No. 3 in the Southland Conference and No. 64 in the nation in free-throw percentage with an .844 mark.
 
Team Free Throws
With 29 free-throw attempts per game on average, New Orleans is currently the most proficient team in terms of getting to the line in the nation.

In the Paint
The Privateers have been tough to face in the paint during the 2014-15 season, outscoring their opponents by a 614-546 margin under the basket thus far.
