Men's Tennis Defeated by Nationally Ranked Troy

TROY, Ala.
– The New Orleans Privateers men's tennis team (6-8, 2-1 Southland) saw their losing streak run to four matches after falling 4-0 to the 57th-ranked Troy Trojans (19-5, 4-0 Sun Belt) on Friday afternoon.
 
The Trojans coasted to the doubles point as the Privateers had to shift their rotation around. Troy swept the first two matches at doubles, winning 6-1 at the 2 position and grabbing a 6-2 win at the top position over Blake Gregor and Rui Silva.
 
In singles, the Trojans finished the first three matches in straight sets to clinch the win. Silva, Daniel Populus, and Luis Albuquerque all were tagged with losses on the day. The other three singles matches went unfinished.
 
The Privateers are back in action on Saturday against Appalachian State.
